CIAF Artistic Director Avril Quaill curates this selling exhibition, under the investigative banner of Where the art leads: new explorations by Queensland Indigenous artists.

The CIAF exhibition presents exciting new works by Queensland Indigenous artists who are exploring new media of expression through sculpture, fibre art, printmaking, painting, drawing and performance art.

Avril draws on her Aboriginal heritage and extensive curatorial experience with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art. This exhibition presents new works that explore innovative art forms by Queensland Indigenous artists, includingb Vernon Ah Kee, Richard Bell, Michael Cook, Joanne Currie, Nephi Denham, Sally Gabori, Gordon Hookey, Craig Koomeeta, Glen Mackie, Justin Majid, Shirley Macnamara, Arone Meeks, Billy Missi, Abe Muriata, Rosella Namok, Laurie Nilsen, Leigh Namponan, Sharon Phineasa, Teho Ropeyarn, Zane Saunders, Ken Thaiday Snr, Ian Waldron and Judy Watson.
