Our People

From its beginnings to now, CIAF has never been just an event. It is built through relationships with art centres, communities, curators, producers, performers and practitioners across Queensland and beyond. The strength of the Fair comes from this collective: people who continue to show up, share knowledge, take risks, and back each other.

We acknowledge the many First Nations leaders who have guided CIAF over the years - those working on the ground in communities, those shaping the sector nationally, and those who have trusted CIAF as a platform for their work. Their cultural authority, creative vision and generosity sit at the core of everything we do.

We also recognise the teams behind the scenes (past and present) who have built CIAF into what it is today. From curatorial leadership to logistics, marketing, production and partnerships, their work has sustained and grown the Fair year on year.

CIAF exists because of this network. Because of the people who invest their time, knowledge and energy into making it happen, often quietly, often collectively.

This is a shared platform, and its future continues to be led by the communities and practitioners it represents.
