CIAF 2026 ART FAIR SHOWCASE

The CIAF Art Fair Showcase is the curatorial heart of CIAF, transforming Tanks Arts Centre into a dynamic exhibition and marketplace responding to the 2026 theme 'Reclamation & Regeneration'.

Tanks Arts Centre – Tank 3 & Tank 4

Opening Night Preview: 4.00 pm – 10.00 pm Thursday 9 July | BUY TICKETS
Public Program: Friday 10 & Saturday 11 July from 10.00am – 5.00pm | Sunday 12 July from 10.00am - 3.00pm | Free entry

Bringing together legacy artists, established practitioners and emerging voices, the Art Fair Showcase reflects CIAF’s long-term role as a platform where careers are sustained, practices are deepened, and Aboriginal and Zenadth Kes/Torres Strait Islander arts from Queensland traverse national and international conversations.

Across Tanks 3 and 4, audiences encounter a powerful range of works spanning painting, sculpture, photography, wearable art and contemporary conceptual practice. The Showcase presents work by art centres, commercial galleries and independent artists, many of whom describe CIAF as a meaningful platform within their enduring careers and growing visibility over time.

As an ethical art marketplace, the CIAF Art Fair Showcase ensures that all acquisitions respect cultural ownership, directly support First Nations artists and communities, and contribute to sustainable creative practice. CIAF is recognised nationally for its commitment to artist-first models and long-term impact beyond the Fair.

Exhibitor talks are a key feature of the program and are strongly encouraged. These conversations offer rare insight into artists’ practices, materials and cultural contexts, creating meaningful connections between artists, collectors and audiences.

The CIAF Art Fair Showcase presents Queensland’s First Nations artists through a considered curatorial lens, where ancestral knowledge and contemporary work come into dialogue, emphasising cultural authority, continuity and a strong, self-determined presence within the broader arts ecology
