Formerly known as the art market, the Artisans Showcase has evolved into a curated program across two dedicated pavilions, highlighting the depth, diversity and contemporary strength of Aboriginal and Zenadth Kes/Torres Strait Islander making. The Showcase celebrates both cultural continuity and innovation, offering audiences the opportunity to engage directly with artists and support First Nations-owned businesses.

Visitors can explore a wide range of handcrafted works, including handwoven textiles, jewellery, sculpture, ceramics, painting, fashion, cultural artefacts and functional design. From deeply place-based practices to contemporary interpretations of material and form, the Artisans Showcase reflects the distinct cultural knowledge systems of artists working across rainforest, reef, freshwater and island communities.

The Showcase is a space for conversation, exchange and ethical collecting, inviting audiences to encounter works made with care, cultural authority and purpose.
