CIAF City-Wide Program

The Cairns Indigenous Art Fair (CIAF) is proud to present its revitalised City-Wide Program—a dynamic calendar of exhibitions, performances, and community activations unfolding across the city during CIAF 2025.

Formerly known as the Satellite Program, this reimagined initiative highlights the rich and diverse creative landscape of Gimuy/Cairns, featuring events both independently produced and in partnership with CIAF. From major cultural institutions like the Cairns Art Gallery and Cairns Courthouse Gallery to grassroots activations in unexpected spaces, the City-Wide Program extends the spirit of CIAF beyond the Tanks Arts Centre into the heart of the city.

While our core programming remains anchored at the Tanks, the City-Wide Program offers a broader invitation—celebrating the strength, storytelling, and sovereignty of First Nations artists and communities across multiple venues. This expanded format embraces collaboration, accessibility, and cultural exchange, ensuring that CIAF is not just a destination, but a city-wide, place-based activation.

All City-Wide Program listings will be exclusively available online, offering up-to-date details and direct links to participating events and venues. We encourage visitors to explore the full scope of what CIAF 2025 has to offer and to engage with the many voices shaping the future of contemporary First Nations arts and culture.
