CIAF Kids: Púuna Playspace

Introducing Púuna (meaning "To Grow in a Circle") — a nurturing space for little ones and their grown-ups, inspired by ancestral wisdom and designed to decolonise early childhood through art, play and cultural connection.

10AM - 3PM DAILY | FREE

Led by artists and mothers Lia Pa’apa’a (Samoan/Luiseño) and Johannah Maza (Yidinji/Meriam/Irish), Púuna centres care, creativity and culture for families. Together, they bring immersive, hands-on experiences little people to come and learn how to make traditional toys from coconut weaving and engage with activism through play.

Drop in across the weekend and explore a world of sensory storytelling, making, and connecting—where every moment is an opportunity to weave culture and care into our children's memories.
