Coral Expeditions presents Cairns Indigenous Art Fair’s
Collectors & Curators’ Program
Cairns, 30 May 2018. Australia’s leading expedition cruise company, Coral Expeditions charts a cultural course as the presenting partner of Cairns Indigenous Art Fair’s 2018 Collectors and Curators’ Program.
Announced today, Cairns Indigenous Art Fair’s (CIAF) General Manager Vanessa Gillen said Coral Expeditions’ partnership will greatly enhance this year’s Collectors and Curators Program (CCP) while providing many exciting possibilities to develop in the future.
According to Ms Gillen, the CCP, which invites curators from major institutions and respected collectors from across Australia and the world to converge on CIAF for exclusive exposure to Queensland’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander arts, is perfectly aligned to Coral Expeditions’ brand, richly imbued with Indigenous arts culture that include its ‘artist on country’ itineraries.
“For CIAF, this is an extremely exciting partnership and one that we look forward to expanding into the future with opportunities that not only take place during the three-day event but throughout the year.”
Coral Expeditions Group General Manager Mark Fifield said his company is proud to increase its involvement with CIAF in 2018 and beyond.
“We have been delivering expedition experiences in Cairns and Cape York region for over three decades and pride ourselves on our Indigenous community and cultural connections.
“We are excited to be building a new expedition flagship, the Coral Adventurer and we see our partnership with CIAF as a strong platform for us at both a local and national level.
“We are looking to grow with more cultural content and themed voyages, to visit more communities in our travels and to showcase the art and culture of the region on our vessels and to our guests,” Mr Fifield said.
