The Cairns Indigenous Art Fair (CIAF) has transitioned over the past three years, from a Queensland Government event, to that of a not-for-profit entity. CIAF is well-established in regional and national communities, as a wonderful celebration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art and culture. Its corporate conversion has proved a matter of form rather than essence, and was always a part of the founding plans for the organisation.

The path forward is guided by the CIAF Strategic Plan 2016-2019, and under the umbrella of this business development formula, sponsorship and partnership play an important role. The plan for corporate development includes identifying potential organisations that are aligned in ethos with the CIAF vision and fit with the well-established, current sponsor and partnership conglomerate. The majority of the current sponsors and partner cohort have been supporters of CIAF since its inception in 2009. Growing this mix is an exciting prospect.

If you or your organisation are interested in supporting the vision of this unique celebration please contact the CIAF team.

CIAF respectfully acknowledges the First Peoples’ and Custodians of the lands, waters and seas on which we work and live. We honour their Elders, past and present
