Nancy Nona is a model, master weaver, and cultural healer from Zenadth Kes/Torres Strait, carrying generations of weaving knowledge through her hands and heart. Her practice is grounded in culture, connection, and the quiet strength of women’s traditions.

Through her healing weaving workshops, Nona creates culturally safe, nurturing spaces where participants gather in circle to slow down and reconnect. Guided by traditional Torres Strait Island weaving techniques, she invites people into the rhythmic, meditative practice of working with natural fibres, transforming them into vessels that hold story, resilience, and renewal.

Her workshops centre listening, patience, and presence, supporting healing through shared making, cultural exchange, and gentle storytelling. They allow space for reflection, grief, celebration, and growth. Working with community groups, artists, and organisations, Nona weaves together culture, creativity, and wellbeing, demonstrating that weaving is both artistic practice and cultural medicine.
