About
Susan Reys is a Badtjala woman, a descendant of K’gari (formerly Fraser Island), and a Guugu Yimithirr woman from the Dharrpa Warra Clan of Starcke in Cape York, North Queensland. Her language name is Duliny.
Her practice extends beyond the production of hand-crafted home décor artworks on canvas and ceramic, focusing on education, cultural sharing, and community engagement. Through her work, she aims to educate, inform, and share Aboriginal culture while strengthening relationships across wider society.
She facilitates a range of workshops in Cairns for school groups, combining education and history with hands-on painting and ceramic-making activities.
