Salt Water Murris' Quandamooka

Salt Water Murris Quandamooka (SWMQ) Art Centre represents the artists of Minjerribah, sharing Quandamooka stories through weaving, jewellery, textiles, language books, and fashion. Each handmade piece reflects deep cultural knowledge and connection to Sea Country, with Jandai language woven, printed, and spoken into the work.

Artists use natural and sustainable materials, reviving traditional practices in a contemporary way. SWMQ’s collections include hand-printed textiles, t-shirts, and fashion items featuring original Quandamooka designs that honour Ancestors and place. Through language reclamation, storytelling, and craftsmanship, SWMQ strengthens cultural identity and inspires learning across generations.
