About

Tobias Corrie is a Zenadth Kes/Torres Strait Islander artist whose work blends cultural continuity, bold visual storytelling, and climate advocacy. Emerging from Boigu Island lineage, he creates contemporary interpretations of traditional Torres Strait headdresses, masks, and ceremonial forms, using them as vessels for identity, memory, and resistance. His pieces have been featured in major Indigenous art platforms, including the Cairns Indigenous Art Fair (CIAF), where he contributes to themes of Reclamation & Regeneration through works that honour Elders and highlight the urgent realities of rising sea levels affecting Torres Strait communities.
