MOB MARKETS
Mob Markets is a First Nations and Global Indigenous project established by Talicia Minniecon and Lia Pa’apa’a as a response to the NO vote in 2023. They recognised the need to provide culturally and creative safe spaces for community where mob could amplify their excellence, support each other and celebrate Arts and Culture here in FNQ.
Since then Mob Markets has curated and delivered several marketplaces and is committed to providing opportunities for First Nations and Global Indigenous arts and cultural practitioners where possible. Lia has over 15 years of event management and festival delivery and Talicia heads Mob Made Media. Together we provide the event management, media and marketing and a culturally supportive space for our market stall holders.
The BLAKTIVATION marketplace curation has been done with the considerations of showcasing the diversity of Cairns based artists, along with allowing for emerging artists as well as established and a cross section of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islands.
The stalls engaged for BLAKTIVATION are:
