If you love being involved in a large event (or want to be part of one for the first time) and are able to help make everyone’s experience of CIAF 2023 that much better, we'd like to hear from you.
The 2023 Cairns Indigenous Art Fair is the quintessential celebration of the art and culture of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples of Queensland, held over four days from 13-16 July.
We kick off the celebration by simultaneously launching the Art Market and Art Fair during the Opening Night Party at Cairns Convention Centre. CIAF is then officially in full swing with a range of incredible satellite exhibitions, the 10th anniversary Fashion Performance at Tanks Arts Centre, a special CIAF music concert at Munro Martin Parklands and finally, the Closing Ceremony on Sunday 16th July 2023.
We need people who love to be involved in a large event/festival and are able to help make everyone’s experience of the event that much better. Tasks you may participate in include:
CIAF GENERAL
- Handing out programs to visitors
- Counting people at entry points to ascertain numbers
- Assisting to keep site clean and tidy
- Assisting with moving chairs & setting up areas as required
- Helping to sell merchandise
- General customer service duties
- Assisting at artist workshops
CIAF FASHION PERFORMANCE
- Helping direct people to their seats in the Fashion Performance (ushers)
- Assisting to keep site clean and tidy
- Assisting with moving chairs/setting up areas as required
